What is included when I hire the mobile ski ramp?

When you hire the ramp, you receive the full mobile ski ramp system, complete with all features, crash mats, and landing area. Delivery, setup, and an initial safety inspection are carried out by B.Y. Alpine Sports, from there on we hand over responsibility to the client for operation and continuous maintenance during the hire period.

How long does it take to transport and set up the ramp?

The ramp is fully mobile and designed for efficient setup. Transport is completed with a standard 4x4 vehicle, and setup typically takes around 1 hour depending on site access and ground conditions.

Can the ramp be used for both skiing and snowboarding, and is it suitable for different skill levels?

Yes, the ramp is designed for both skiing and snowboarding. It can be used by beginners, intermediates, and advanced riders, making it suitable for training progression as well as events. Usage guidelines are provided to ensure safe and appropriate operation for each skill level.

What safety measures are in place, and who is responsible for checks during the hire period?

B.Y. Alpine Sports conducts a full equipment safety check before delivery. For long-term hire, the client is responsible for ongoing safety and maintenance checks according to the provided schedule. For events and demos, our team oversees safety procedures throughout the hire period.

Do participants or organisations need to arrange insurance?

Yes. For long-term hire, clients must arrange insurance that covers both the equipment and its use. For event or demo hire, B.Y. Alpine Sports maintains equipment liability, while participants or the organising body may need to arrange participant liability cover depending on the event setup.

What are the available hire options (e.g. short-term vs long-term)?

We offer flexible medium and long-term hire options, starting from a minimum of two weeks and extending to multiple months. This makes the ramp ideal for clubs, schools, or training centres seeking ongoing access. During the hire period, responsibility for equipment care and operation transfers to the client.

How is pricing structured, and do longer hires offer better value?

Pricing is based on a base hire rate with weekly charges for extended periods. Longer hires are offered at reduced rates, giving you better value and making the ramp a cost-effective option for consistent training and development.

How much space is required to set up the ramp at my venue?

The ramp requires a clear, level or sloped area of approximately 5m x 15m with suitable ground access for transport and setup. If you’re unsure whether your site is suitable, we can advise during your booking enquiry.
